Stay Hard!
This book is nothing but inspirational. Definitely will find myself reading this again. Just knowing the human body is capable of so much punishment really opens your mind to the possibilities and shuts up the liar in us telling us there is nothing beyond. Most of the battle takes place in the mind, and we must evaluate which limiting beliefs are holding us back.

Changed my life, about half a year later.
David Goggins had been an inspirational figure in my life, and I knew he had a book. I usually don’t read self motivation books, but if I do get into self motivation things, I just go into the surface level reading quotes, watching YouTube videos, etc. but this book I gave it a fair shot and it starts off with his life as a child. Then his trials that shaped and molded him. It gives you practical things to do “NOW” which you should follow along as you read the book.Challenges. Deep down inside, we know what we have to do. We just don’t want to do it. We don’t want to always have to cook healthy meals, and skip out on junk food. We don’t want to always do the chores before parents ask us to, or study instead of going to a party. This book isn’t about being David goggins, it’s about how to be you need to be in order to be the pillar for your family and yourself.I struggled a lot with many things in life, and as a former college student who hated where he was going, and did not think he’d enjoy what he was doing as he just went to college by the pressure of people around him, this book was a godsend to me.I went to a river and read this book, steadily. Hiked up a mountain and read it. Applied the advice, and now, I am fixing to run my first half marathon, no walking. Going from a fat lazy bum! To someone who’s training to join the Air Force and be exceptional. For me. For her. For God.Look deep into the depths. Find that 1% that makes me go ahead like David Goggins. Don’t talk about it, be about it! I highly recommend this book once you are ready to make that change. David Goggins has a belief in this: what are you willing to give? If the answer isn’t “everything” then get out! But if it’s everything, then we are working with something.David Goggins, despite having so many health issues, every reason in the book to give up and remain the 300 pound cockroach exterminator who hated his life, became the hero he is today to so many people, including myself.Alongside this book, I went from 168 pounds, unhappy, not knowing where to go, and not wanting to try to find out how to find direction to 140 pounds, stronger than I have ever been mentally and physically, and on the track to success. Make it happen.Overall, this book is a worthy purchase if you are willing to make a change in your life. That change will not invite comfort. What are you willing to give?

Goggins’ Grit: Inspiring Feats, Flawed Example
Can’t Hurt Me by David Goggins is a raw, relentless memoir that hooked me from the start. Its epic scope—spanning Goggins’ brutal childhood, Navy SEAL training, and ultramarathon feats—delivers grand stakes. From overcoming illiteracy, racial prejudice, and his father’s abuse to facing tragedies like a child’s death under a bus, Goggins’ story is a testament to defying odds. His ability to push past physical limits, like running ultra-distances on sheer will, feels unworldly. “You are in danger of living a life so comfortable and soft that you will die without ever realizing your true potential,” he writes, a line that fueled my runs and sparked deep reflection.Goggins is compelling, his raw transparency—never sugarcoating failures like repeated military setbacks or broken relationships—making him relatable. His redemption through mental toughness, especially his “40% Rule,” hits hard, but his underprepared attempts and unbalanced life dilute the catharsis.“The most important conversations you’ll ever have are the ones you’ll have with yourself”Goggins is engaging, especially in the audiobook’s unpolished but gripping discussions, though I wished for tighter editing in those interviews to sharpen their impact. The book kept me glued, its intensity and motivational fire perfect for my running sessions, as my friends promised.“Our culture has become hooked on the quick-fix, the life hack, efficiency… The truth is, you have to get comfortable with being uncomfortable”The audiobook’s extra content, while insightful, felt rough and needed polish to match the main narrative’s drive. More depth on secondary characters would’ve elevated the stakes, and Goggins’ life—marked by relentless pushing but marred by failed relationships and underpreparation—doesn’t fully reflect the balanced success his message champions, leaving me less inspired by him as a person.Overall, Can’t Hurt Me left me fired up and reflective, its raw honesty and mental strategies resonating deeply. It’s a must-listen for anyone craving stories of grit and self-discovery, even if Goggins’ flaws keep it from masterpiece status. His journey, imperfect but inspiring, lingers like a hard-won finish line.

You’re more capable than you think
David Goggins is famous person by his unbeatable mindset, but what made him this way? That’s the question I would ask myself whenever I saw him online. The book perfectly describes his life from the very childhood to today covering every significant event which sharpened his mind. A small side effect from myself, after reading the book, I felt much more grateful for what I have because it felt like I lived through his struggles with him. Even solely common things might not be available to everyone what makes you appreciate the simple moments in life. Moreover, be ready to face 10 challenges from David Goggins himself to overcome your weaknesses. The book made an impact on my life, that’s what we all expect from reading “Can’t Hurt Me”. As David Goggins spend years in military, I kept a simple rule in my head: “be you 100%,” meaning to keep pushing no matter the odds, and if you think you are done, you still have 60% to go what helped me set new records on my running distance and swimming in cold water. It motivated me to build a better and more thoughtful training plan along with a serious diet. As a result, it boosted my confidence with the realization that I am more capable than I have ever thought.Deserves to be a bestseller. Stay Hard

conquer your fears, limitation and your mind
one of the best books that I have read and listened to.the book speaks for itself, and everyone who managed to read the book, listened to audio, and read the reviews can speak for the wisdom and enthusiasm this book and the mental attitude David G instilled in the readers of this book.I have to say, it is hard for anyone to try to emulate what DG did and showed in this book, given his unique upbringing and the degree of family dysfunction he was exposed to in his life, which I think have contributed moulding his ultimate personality and to what he ended up accomplishing later in life. However, I believe what he achieved throughout his life some of that was highlighted in his book, was just an indication how much the human mind is capable of and can achieve, if it is directed in the right productive direction and not surprising after that the body will oblige !what I liked about the book is that you feel that when there is a will there is a way, even when he didnt know how to blend in the community around him, his mind suggested for him to change how he dresses, how he looks to try to fit in the community at that time, until he had the wake up call, that he had to changeand change he did !! to try to push himself to no end, as if there is no limit, not even the skies ! I believe he stopped believing in anything other than he can do and achieve anything and everything if he was persistent and patient and kept pushing himself to achieve that goal, whether it was enlisting as a Navy SEAL or running ultra marathons, or holding the highest number of pull ups, he was up to the challenge.I also had the chance to read the book ( Living with a SEAL for Jesse Itzler ) who described his experience living with DG for 30 days and the impact that had not only on his life, but his family life as well.the book is a great read for anyone who thinks that they have been in a rut for quite sometime, and also for the one who thinks that they need some shake up or wake up call to straighten their lives.Furthermore, I truly believe this book also can be helpful for anyone who is feeling down and could use a lift , who is tired and cant get off their couch, who dread doing the regular chores …for me, I felt the book gave me the right push to keep grinding, and motivated me at times I felt I cant go further . by no means, I strive to become anything close to what DG did, but it is quite inspiring to see how a fellow human being like DG managed to make the best of his life experience and shaped it in a way that is quite inspiring to many humans across the globe !

Lives up to the hype – get the audiobook
I’ll say this directly: “I don’t read military books.” As a veteran, Special Ops, Delta, etc., undoubtly deserved and have my respect. I just have zero interest in reading there stories after serving in the military. “Can’t Hurt Me” is different.First, get the audiobook. The narration and additional conversations are great. Now about the book..David Goggins story is a story of a man who discovers a level of unparalleled resilence. A man who literally brainwashes himself into a different way of living, becoming a Navy Seal and Ultramarathoner. He makes a lot of sacrifices to become the David Goggins you see today. Most of us won’t make those and probably shouldn’t. But to not learn from his mindset and resilience would be a shame. This book lives up to the hype and is an easy five stars.
