10 reviews for LEVOIT Cordless Stick Vacuum, 50-Min, Tangle-Free, Lightweight, Powerful for Carpet & Hard Floor

    Really great little vacuum!

Spent a lot of time reviewing vacuums before settling on this one. So glad I did! This vacuum does an excellent job handing all of my hardwood floors and picking up hair from all 3 pets – which is substantial. The noise level isn’t too intense and it’s nice and lightweight. Clean up is incredibly easy – both the dirt canister and easily being able to remove the roller. I’ve cleaned both a few times now and have been pleasantly surprised!I tend to use it every other day and it does its job with plenty of battery life to spare before needing to charge again.I do wish it came with more attachment options, even to purchase separately- but for the price point I can hardly complain.I’ve had a lot of vacuums over the years (shark, dyson, dirt devil) and this one is definitely a new favorite!

Highly Recommended for the Right Fit

The rating is highly personal and should be taken with a grain of salt. This vacuum is not perfect by any means BUT it works for me so I’m very happy with it and my rating indicates that. So, let’s start with how it could be better (even a few of the negatives) and then proceed to why I like it and gave it the five star rating. If you want a cordless that is powerful enough to do a deep cleaning of your carpet (if that carpet has somewhat high pile), then this vacuum will disappoint you. Will it clean the carpet? Yes… just not as deeply as you might want. Secondly, the vacuum does not have a means to carry your attachments meaning that you’ll need to carry the crevice tool in your pocket if of place it where you think you might want it later. Thirdly, to remove the vacuum head, you’ll need to press a release button with your hand meaning you either bend down or lift the vacuum high enough to release it. Many vacuums have a foot release button that make this maneuver much easier to perform. Lastly, getting back to the few accessories, there is no way to store them on the small clip used to hang the vacuum on the wall. So, you’ll need to find a place to put them without losing them. Oh… and the plastic wheels could have had a rubber surface but…Now, why do I like it? It performs beautifully on my wood and tile floors and performs adequately on my carpets. When I want a deeper clean, I pull out my corded Shark or corded Kenmore to do that job. So, I don’t really require this cordless to do the job and it doesn’t lose any points in that regard. I love how light it is and how maneuverable the head is plus, the wand can go almost parallel with the floor allowing me to vacuum under the bed and furniture. Also, it is quieter than other cordless vacuums I’ve had which is a huge bonus. The battery run time allows me to do both my upper floor and lower floor before it needs recharging. We have a 2300 sq foot house so the battery capacity is more than adequate. Cleaning the canister is a breeze and the filter can easily be unscrewed and rinsed under water. We store the vacuum in a small closet under the stairs by hanging it from the supplied hook where it hangs against the wall while charging from an outlet inside the closet. And now for the best thing: the vacuum can stand on its own when I want to shut it off while moving a piece of furniture or taking a telephone call.As you can see, it’s not a perfect vacuum but for my situation, it is and so I rate it five stars.

    Great for it’s intended purpose

I purchased this vacuum for the purpose of vacuuming the cat litter and other small debris that accumulates daily around the house. Most of my floors are laminate with carpet in the bedrooms. The vacuum picks up all of the cat litter and small debris very well from the laminate floors and anything laying on top of the thicker carpets. I previously used a Bissell pet eraser handheld vacuum for this purpose. It was a fine machine that only fell short in two areas for me. One, I had to stoop over to use it, and two, it wasn’t the best at containing the dust. The levoit has addressed both of these issues for me. I’ve found this vacuum more than adequate for daily cleaning of the hard floors, low or no pile rugs, and light cleaning of the thicker pile carpets. It contains 100% of the dust going into the dust bin. It’s quieter than the Bissel one was by a fair margin, even on the highest setting. You’ll still need a bigger vacuum for the deep cleanings, especially for thick carpets. My Miele is going on 30 years old and still going strong for the weekly deep clean. But for the quick daily stuff, this machine has been great.Update 1/15/2025: I’ve been using this vacuum for a couple of months now, and I still like it very much. I have two cats and use it daily to give my whole house a quick once over to pick up any loose cat hair, cat litter, food crumbs, etc. I have mostly hardwood floors with some medium pile carpet in the bedroom, and some area rugs near doors and in the living room. I do wish the motor in the brush head was a little bit stronger as it does slow down on carpet a bit, and I have one very dense area rug that will actually stop the brush head. But it only slows down a bit on the entry rugs and bedroom carpets. The suction has been more than enough, I keep it on the lowest setting most of the time and it picks everything up just fine. It also does a great job getting under all of my furniture as it folds completely flat. And probably the most important thing I like about this vacuum is that it is quiet enough that my cats aren’t afraid of it. My one scaredy cat hid from it for the first few days, but now he follows me around watching me vacuum. It’s small and light enough that getting it out and spending 5 minutes a day going over the whole house is simple and easy. $199 might be a bit high to buy, but with the $40 off coupon it is solid choice.UPDATE 5/30/2025: I thought it would be a good idea to clean the roller after several months of use, and I thought rinsing it under plain tap water would be just the thing to loosen and remove dust and dirt from the brushes and all the spaces I couldn’t reach by just wiping it down. Bad idea. The water made the green ‘brushes’ stiff and also ruined the bearings i think. I let the roller dry overnight and when I ran the vacuum the next day it sounded like a helicopter trying to take off. I contacted Levoit about purchasing a replacement roller, explaining what I’d done to ruin this one and after a couple of emails back and forth, and sending them a short video of the noise the brush was making, they were very kind and sent a replacement brush roller under warrantee. With the new roller installed all is well again. Do not clean the roller with water, it will ruin it. They recommended only wiping it down. Great customer care by Levoit on this. They certainly didn’t have to replace the roller since I’d ruined it, but they were more concerned that I was happy with their product than with trying to get more money from me. A rare thing anymore.

Impressive Dyson Alternative – High Performance at a Smart Price

I purchased the LEVOIT Cordless Vacuum Cleaner (LVAC-200) as a replacement for an aging Dyson V8, and I’ve been extremely impressed with what it offers—especially at this price point. The suction power is strong, easily handling everything from carpet to hard floors and even pet hair. The tangle-resistant brush design is a thoughtful touch that saves time during cleaning and maintenance. It’s also remarkably lightweight, making it easy to maneuver and carry around the house.Battery life has been more than sufficient for regular cleaning, and the cordless convenience combined with its quiet operation adds to the overall user experience. If you’re looking for a reliable and cost-effective cordless vacuum that performs well without the premium price tag, the LVAC-200 is an excellent choice. Very satisfied.

    Still great after several months!!!

This is the best vacuum I have ever owned. These are the reasons why. First of all, it is cordless but the charge lasts long enough to vacuum my entire apartment, all the floors, hard and carpeted, around 900 ft.². It still has plenty of charge left after that. It has three speeds. It is lightweight and easily maneuverable. It comes apart easily so you can use it like a dust buster. It has a brush and crevice attachment. Emptying it is a cinch and doesn’t make a mess. You can see easily how much dirt is in it. It doesn’t take very long to recharge. I have been using it for a few months and I remain extremely happy with it. I have had two expensive Rocket stick-style vacs and several other brands of vacuum. This actually does better than the Rockets! May previous vacuums have all been corded. I had stayed away from cordless because I was afraid they would not be very powerful and they would lose their charge. This one does a great job and it doesn’t make much noise at all. I would highly recommend it to anyone!

    Best Cordless Vacuum

Levoit service representative was amazing in resolving a problem I had with the vacuum. This vacuum has been thebest cordless vacuum I have ever had. It was affordable, has great suction for vacuuming a German Shepherd fur and dander. This replaces a robot floor sweeper. Much better speed, doesn’t clog and it isn’t heavy. Love it.

Finally! A vacuum under $300 that works

I have owned 4 cordless vacuum cleaners in as many years. The first was not a stick cleaner and worked well, but it was heavy and awkward and didn’t get into tight spaces. It was so heavy, it didn’t get used as much as it should have. I then bought two other stick-type vacuums, both were light and easy to maneuver, but didn’t suck up the dirt – kind of a necessary function for a vacuum cleaner. My daughter has a Dyson, which I have used. The Dyson is definitely quality, but much heavier and not as easy to operate. Surprisingly, I prefer this vacuum to the Dyson. When I bought this Levoit, it was Wow! I found one that works. I bought it specifically because I have a Levoit air filter and I love it. I figured they were a quality manufacturer and I was right. I waited for a few weeks to review the vacuum to ensure that it continued to perform well. It has. As for the pros and cons -Pros:1) it is very lightweight and easy to carry around the house.2) Emptying the dust cup is super easy and doesn’t make a mess. The dust cup removes with a simple push of a button and reattaches just as easily. I fought constantly with the prior vacuums to empty the dust cup and generally ended up covered in the dirt I had just vacuumed up. This dust cup is so easy to empty that there’s no mess.3) IT SUCKS! in the best way. No more going over the area 4 or 5 times and still leaving visible dirt.4) It works well on hardwood, tile, and carpeting. I have hardwood floors with area rugs everywhere, and it moves without a hitch between carpet and bare floors.5) The anti-hair wrap works like a dream. I have very thick hair that I was constantly pulling out of the brush when I vacuumed. I have not had to yank the hair out of the vacuum head once – a big deal to me. I don’t have pets, but I assume it would function the same for pet hair.6) The battery life is perfectly adequate for me, but it does help that I have a smaller house. I use it mostly on maximum suction, so it doesn’t last a long time. But I believe this is generally the case for most cordless stick vacuums – most reviews for these stick vacuums complain about the battery life. I think it’s a tradeoff for the lighter weight. It’s a compromise I am willing to make. But if you are comparing similar items, the battery life is equivalent to any of the others I have used.7) I LOVE that it stands up by itself! This was a dealbreaker for me. I hate to have to lean the vacuum up against something in the middle of vacuuming when you have to move something out of the way.8) I like the light on the vacuum head. It helps to see the floor in areas that aren’t brightly lit.9) It does, in fact, lay all the way down so you can get under furniture.10) There’s virtually no assembly required. It probably took 30 seconds to put together, max.Cons:1) The only small negative that I can see is that the long tube does not adjust up or down. However, I am a tall woman (5′ 9″), and it works well for me – it comes up high enough to be comfortable. So for me, this isn’t a negative.Overall, I can’t say enough positive things about this vacuum. I would choose this vacuum every time over any other that I have used. If you are trying to choose between this Levoit and another brand, I highly recommend the Levoit.

    Solid workhorse stick vacuum

I’m an engineer in the consumer product space, and I always like to give a review for stuff I really like and stuff I really hate. I want to preface this review by saying I’m not paid by Levoit or any other company in this space. I just want to help people get the best product for their hard earned money and provide a little realness in this increasingly fake world. That being said, I went on a bit of a stick vacuum journey. I started with a Bissell which was ok while it lasted. It had a big removable battery, akin to a Milwaukee tool, that provided plenty of run time, but it was heavy. The brush on it didn’t last very long making the pick up of toddler Cheerio messes frustrating, but the most frustrating part was the wire within the swivel joint of vacuum head fatiguing and breaking completely rendering it pretty useless. Poor wire routing design on their part.I decided to upgrade to a near top of the line Dyson V8 to see what all the hype was about. For me, the value wasn’t there. I think the thing that bothered me most was the power button was a trigger that you had to continuously hold down (vs single press button/switch) which wasn’t very ergonomic. Also, there was no speed setting that allowed me to go with a stronger suck for a bigger mess on carpet for instance. At nearly 3X the cost, the performance was not 3X better and I couldn’t justify keeping it, so back to Dyson it went.I needed a cheap, workhorse stick vacuum that wasn’t full of frills, so I decided to go the Levoit route. I am 8 months in of near daily use and very happy so far. I like how the brush bristles aren’t a typical bristle but more of a singular flap runs the length of the roller. Seems to hold up better than a standard vacuum bristle yet picks up dirt just as well, even on carpet. The battery, like the Dyson, is not removable, but it is much more lightweight compared to the Bissell I had. It lasts for how we use it which is essentially to clean up the kitchen and living room every night. I think I could do the whole house on a single charge, but on the lowest speed. High speed drains it pretty quick, but again, not an issue for how we use it. The canister is easily disassembled and cleaned. I’ve only had one clog when a tortilla chip got stuck in the vacuum head, but the head is easily disassembled and cleaned as well (no screws). I wish it had a dock that would automatically charge it instead of having to hang it on the wall and then reach for the cord that fell on the ground, but first world problems I guess. Overall, I feel like I absolutely got my moneys worth with this vacuum and would highly recommend. I’ll update further down the road if any large issues arise.

    Light yet strong little vacuum

Great little vacuum! Easy to use, the charge lasts a long time and it looks nice.  Great suction on tile, carpet and concrete.  I like how easy it is to empty trash canister and to change attachments.  The only reason I gave it 4 vs 5 stars is the wall mount holder that comes with it.  Personally I like securing items, especially heavier ones, directly to studs on wall to ensure the item (bracket holder in this case) stays put even after heavy use.  The holder that comes with has 2 horizontal mounting holes instead of vertical which makes it tough for both screws to catch stud.  It would have also been nice to have attachment holders built into the mount.  But that’s an easy fix, gound an alternative.  Aside from that no issues.

    Good vaccum

So far so good. I really like the vaccum. I have a mix between hard wood/tile and its works really well. I mainly got because my old vaccum cleaner was biting the dust and I didnt want to spend a ton. Got it for a reasonable price. I LOVE the attachments. My cat sheds like crazy and the vaccum does great grabbing all the hair. Run time I decent I dont expect a crazy run time from a stick vaccum. Suction is decent. Canister is a little on the smaller side but its very easy to clean out as the inside twist off. My shark did not do that so the canister was a pain to clean. Overrall I love it and really happy with my purchase. I’ve had it almost a mi th now and honestly have used it everyday.
