WORKS WITH SPECTRUM TV APP!!! Rokus are great with the best balance of value/features/services/Apps!
I love the Roku lineup because besides all the Roku streaming resources and apps, they ALSO support the Spectrum TV app, which lets you use any HDMI display device (This sometimes means computer monitors!) as a TV to receive standard programming like one of their official “Xumo StreamBox” devices. Spectrum gatekeeps this app to only certain ecosystems, and unfortunately, the Amazon FireStick is NOT one of them, hence this purchase. The positive is that you OWN this device and don’t need to pay monthly fees to RENT a streaming widget from Spectrum. I also use this for several apps like PLEX, Crunchyroll, and YouTube, but SpectrumTV was the “killer app” for me.Just remember that this is not compatible with Amazon’s “wireless home theater” choices, so if (like me) you switched from a FireStick to a Roku, you’ll need to figure out something else for the audio. It DOES support Bluetooth devices, so that works as a replacement for the nearby speakers but I don’t think it sends surround data. If you send the audio from the TV and not the Roku, you’ll probably have more flexibility.I love it and it it saves me money letting every family member have a TV in their room without needing to rent NINE Spectrum devices for $10/month EACH, and it’s easy enough to use with a simple remote that has also paired with all the TVs I have very quickly. My Techno-Challenged Mom that lives with me loves the friendly interface and ease of navigation. If you don’t have a 4K TV, that’s fine, and you can probably get a lower-tier Roku, but this one has a processor that’s a bit more powerful, so I feel like it doesn’t lag or stutter as you move around and it loads the content more quickly with better WiFi support.

This is my favorite non-LG TV streaming Device
I’ve had experience with a number of devices, and this one is my favorite. My priorities:Fast streaming/minimal lagEasy to navigateAccess to shows of interestAbility to preview as i fast forward or rewindApple TV:ExpensiveCan’t preview or issues with some of the apps that was frustrating. it wanted to rewind or fast foward instead of clicking to the screen section you wanted with a preview. This really killed the device for me.Easy to overshoot if you used the finger swipe option to quickly move fast-forward or rewind.User interface, for the most part is decent and fast except for how navigates while playing.Fire TVBuilt to sell products instead of show shows, laggy, and for whatever reason I hated interacting with this device. Not being able to easily access the content I wanted due to poor organization really rubbed me the wrong way.Pro – ability to bootleg shows, but not something I’m into and I only checked this out during the first weeks of covid.I want to emphasize the lag issues. This is built as cheap as possible to minimally meet requirements to function and it shows.RokuSo, now that I have the other devices out of the way, and ignore my LG streaming which is my favorite, I’ll speak to this device and why it has my vote. This device is surprisingly fast. I didn’t expect a device that was almost as responsive as my apple TV and LG TV. This is slightly slower but barely and no lag which is the most critical thing for me.We got this for the British Bake-off access which led to an unexpected cool thing. The discovery of the free shows, if you don’t absolutely hate commercials. For the complete British Bake-off experience, we mute the commercials. So, the additional channels that Roku provides has made it continue to be useful.Roku allows a preview of channels as I fast forward through it.Roku does have an issues with some apps where I need to log out and go back in so the remote works correctly. I’m not sure if that’s a bad app issue or the device but a quick back and in fixes. The apple device has never crashed or become buggy on me. The Firestick has, but it’s cheap. The price is significantly cheaper than apple making the Roku a no brainer.Unlike the apple TV, which requires counter space, this plugs into the back of the TV and is hidden away. Now, an issue I had when I first turned on is that my remote was not communicating with the device. I was extremely annoyed as this was an early Christmas present for my wife, and I wanted it to function within a certain time window so a return and replace would have ruined it. The device showed the remotes power but didn’t communicate. After resetting the device, the remote works fine now. If you run into an issue, try resetting the device.4k streaming? It’s okay. I didn’t do a side by side. It has 4k.Navigation? It’s simple enough but could be made better. I thought the last version of the Fire TV was worse. The apple TV does shine in this area on most apps I played with. My biggest gripe with navigation in Roku is that marking something as favorite and then LOCATING the favorites from Roku’s channels and free shows, was not intuitive. I did eventually find my favorites, but that was frustrating. Additionally, the channel/app/inventory searching involves clicking to the right instead of down. So, speed is slightly less than Apple, but barely. Navigation is slightly less easy based on the layout vs apple, and i think it’s better than the Fire the last time I used that thing. The Roku has a nice access to misc. free channels. Its price is a quarter of Apple. The fire TV? I don’t consider these two in the same league. So, if you’re picking up a streaming device, I’d recommend the Roku over the other devices (except the LG TV native streaming app which is the best I’ve used). Performance and price are good. The only reason to avoid is if it doesn’t have access to what you want to watch. For me, it filled in the gaps and provided baking shows that we otherwise didn’t have access to.

The Best Roku Device Yet
The media could not be loaded.
This is a review of the Roku Streaming Stick 4K.Pros: Ease of use is top-notch with this Roku stick. All you have to do is plug it into the HDMI port on your TV, plug in the power supply, connect it to your wireless internet, and download your favorite apps. If you already have a Roku account, you simply log in, and all of your apps appear. Then you need to log in to each app to connect them to your account. In terms of performance, this little unit is lightning fast with an awesome 4K picture and plenty of memory. The remote feels great in your hand and is also very easy to use. The price point for the amount of tech you’re getting here is unreal. Ultimately, if you’re like me and you are traveling regularly, having a Roku stick like this is a lifesaver for bringing the TV comforts of your own home on the road. Or then again, just use this unit at home.Opportunities: If you purchase/pay for apps on the Roku and later try to log in to that particular app outside of Roku, your account may not show up. Had this happen to me with Peacock, where I couldn’t log in on another device. So, the lesson here is just to use Roku, and everything is smooth.Overall: This is the best Roku device yet, and at this price point, picking one up is a no-brainer.

Excellent streaming device, very high visual resolution
The Roku streaming device was simple to install and is working perfectly. When coupled with a 5G Wi-Fi signal it produces very sharp, high-resolution images on my digital TV.

Reliable, Fast, and Super Easy to Use!
I’ve been using the Roku Streaming Stick 4K for a few weeks now, and I’m honestly so impressed! Setup was super quick—just plugged it into my TV’s HDMI port, connected it to Wi-Fi, and I was streaming in minutes. The picture quality is stunning with true 4K and vibrant HDR colors, and it even supports Dolby Vision on my newer TV, which really makes movies pop.The remote is simple but does everything I need—power, volume, voice search, and quick app buttons. Roku’s interface is by far the easiest and cleanest I’ve used (way better than my old Fire Stick, which was cluttered with ads). Everything loads quickly, and switching between apps like Netflix, Disney+, and YouTube is smooth with zero buffering. What I really love is how small and sleek it is. It hides right behind the TV and doesn’t need a bunch of cables. The Wi-Fi connection has been strong and stable, even in my bedroom where my router signal is usually weaker. If you’re looking for an affordable, high-quality streaming device that just works, the Roku Streaming Stick 4K is the one. It’s perfect for both tech-savvy users and those who want something simple and powerful. Highly recommend!

Wouldn’t use anything else.
Love this! We have it on both of our tvs and it works perfectly. We rarely have connectivity issues and when we do I suspect it’s our internet, not the Roku device. There is never a lag and it’s so easy to use. I love that it’s so small and we don’t have a device sitting under the tv. Oh, and the remote works perfectly. I love that it pairs with the television so that we only have to use one remote.

Turn Your TV into a Smart TV
I recently bought 2 Roku sticks for my TVs after deciding to cancel my cable service to switch to a streaming service that offers the same channels. The Roku stick is easy to setup and it turns your TV into a smart TV. Also you no longer pay monthly charges for set top boxes. I highly recommend it!

You can’t go wrong with a Roku Stick!
This is our 3rd Roku stick. We like the ease of using it and the simple ergononmic design. The voice option works really well and it makes very few mistakes. The battery life is excellent. This remote is used many times everyday and the battery lasts for at least 6 months. The Roku stick is our goto streaming device for all of our TV’s. There are so many apps available. The stick always connects and if we lose internet/power the Roku re-connects in under a minute. This is the streaming stick you can buy.

Must have in your home
I purchased this for my 81 yr old mother and the best thing about it is that all she has to do is hit the picture of the microphone on the remote and tell it what to do. Change channel, lower the volume, turn off TV. It’s a great product for those who have difficulty trying to see all the buttons, or their hand grip isn’t what it use to be as we age. This has stopped her from calling for me to find her something to watch onow that she knows where to push the microphone picture on the remote . On top of that ROKU has always offered good products and streaming shows with an app you can download and check out what’s new or browse their library for different streaming shows. Only product I have ever purchased since I cut the cord from expensive cable TV. I can have my favorite shows on my TV and my mother has her own. $9.99 a month for Roku channel which offers many different types of shows better than paying $100 for cable or satellite TVDefinitely recommend

Easy set up and it works.
It was easy to set up, just follow a few prompts and it does the rest. I use Sling for streaming (full time RV’er) and the only problem I’ve encountered is that my paid Fox News subscription is not recognized by Roku Streaming Stick as already a paid subscription. Don’t know if the problem is Roku or Sling.
